Luncheon/Dessert Tablescape

Come join me for lunch!

I got these cute little luncheon plates at the Goodwill awhile ago.  I loved the purple in them so they were my inspiration.

Many years ago, so many it might have been in a different life, I was a Princess House consultant.  I still have all my Princess House crystal and wanted to use it with my purple dishes.

Goodwill is my new favorite place to shop.  Just on this table alone I got the tablecloth, the purple placemats,  napkins, napkin rings, tea pot, and the stemware piece in the center.

 I think it makes a very lovely sweet table.

For dessert, I served cupcakes which I decorated in cake decorating class.  They are not gorgeous by any means, but they were cute and I’m already getting so much better than this, but I’ll post them anyway.

Remember:  ALWAYS EAT DESSERT FIRST to make sure you have enough room.

Thank you for joining me.

Today I am joining Table Top Tuesday at A Stroll Through Life

For this Wednesday, I will be joining Let’s Dish at Cuisine Kathleen

    Ooooh–and here I thought that I owned purple all by myself. So happy to share my favorite color with you! The periwinkles are out at my place and it’s all I can do not to lay down in them. Wouldn’t THAT be a sight. Your table is just beautiful and the crystal is just perfect. :}

    I’ve been looking at great tables with purple and yours is no exception! Gorgeous, and the dishes are beautiful, the glass and the pattern ones. I love the placemats and centerpiece. Beautiful everything! Thank you for your lovely and kind comments on my Mil’s tablecloth,which is very special, we were so lucky to have received it upon her death. She and my Fil went all over Europe in 1950 and that’s when they had bought it in Venece, Italy. Lots of hugs,

  24. When I lived in Colorado for a while in the early 1980s, someone sold me a set of those Princess House dishes with the leaves on them. I had never heard of it before, but they were my favorite everyday dishes for a long time. I think I sold them years ago, and now I think maybe I should have kept them. Did you know they will explode in the microwave if you cook a Lean Cuisine on them??? ;-p

  28. Your table is beautiful and I so agree that coming from GW makes it even better. Thanks for coming over to my blog and for your very sweet and thoughtful comment. I appreciate that. As I read you bio I knew you were a gal of my heart with your grands and great grands. We have 34 grands and 35 will be born next month. No great grands yet. We have a daughter in Ariz. and when it was SO cold and snowy at our place up north I wondered why we hadn’t moved to Ariz. I think its a smart move. So glad to meet you Ellen. We need to visit each other often!!
